About WhereParentsTalk.com (Liandrea Productions Inc.)
11 years and counting! When we started in 2003, you could count parenting websites on one hand. These days, WhereParentsTalk.com is part of a plethora of parenting-focused websites. We've watched the parenting space explode online --- some sites have endured, others more short-lived.
Through it all, we have remained true to our roots focused on providing proven tips and advice for parents by parents. After all, only parents can understand what another parent is going through.
While we've evolved (we hope!), so too has our roster of contributors:

We started this little business out of our basements in 2003. Back then, when you said "parenting" and "video" in the same breath, people looked at you like you had two heads! But we soldiered on and produced two award-winning DVDs, Bringing Baby Home, on newborn care and Yummy in my Tummy on starting solids. This was way before YouTube and there were very few similar parenting resources available out there.
Fast-forward to 2010 and we are re-launching our website as WhereParentsTalk.com. The internet is the ultimate reference tool nowadays. WhereParentsTalk was created just for parents craving information, support and a shoulder to cry on. You can have spit up crusted onto your 3-day unwashed pjs, be 30 lbs overweight from breastfeeding and still jump online and find millions of others just like you, willing to offer that much-needed support! That is what WhereParentsTalk strives to be, an amazing parenting resource of articles, recipes, videos, forums, and live chats!
How it started....
Co-founder, broadcast journalist & mom of 3
Lianne Castelino is a seasoned broadcast journalist having worked in both news and sports during a 15-year television career. Upon graduating from Ryerson University's Journalism program, she landed her first job in Montreal, as an on-air presenter for The Weather Network.. A few months later, she moved on to CTV Montreal as a news reporter and anchor. Then in 1999 she got the opportunity she'd been waiting for - an opening in CTV's sports department. A sports junkie since birth, she spent the next 8 years as a sports reporter covering both pro and amateur athletes, before adding sportscaster to her resume, hosting a live, nightly show. In 2007, she and her family began looking for a new adventure, so they packed up and moved back to Toronto!
In addition to hosting On Patrol with Toronto Police, Lianne is also a business anchor at Dex.TV, and freelances as a writer for CTV Newsnet and The Discovery Channel. Besides television, Lianne dabbles in entrepreneurial pursuits - having co-founded a company that produces how-to parenting DVDs.
Co-founder, broadcast journalist, loving wife & mom of 3
Andrea Howick completed her undergraduate degree at McGill University in Political Science, then went on to do a graduate degree in Journalism from Concordia University. Her first job was at CBC Radio News Montreal as an on-air reporter. Then she moved to CTV Montreal as a researcher and reporter. Shortly after launching in Quebec, Global TV came calling, and while there, she wore many hats – news and health reporter as well as occasional anchor of the station’s flagship, 3-hour morning show, This Morning Live. In 2003 she co-founded Where Parents Talk (then Liandrea) with Lianne Castelino to produce a series of parenting how-to DVDs. She now runs the popular website www.whereparentstalk.com, writing, blogging, tweeting as well as shooting and editing video.
Andrea is the proud mother of 3 boys and spends whatever free time she has in hockey arenas.
