Families want to use more "real" food

by Andrea Howick www.whereparentstalk.com

Processed foods are a multi-billion dollar industry and might often be the more convenient choice for us as parents, however according to new research that may not be what we really want.

A survey conducted by Hellmann’s found that 92 per cent of Canadian families say they want to eat more real food.

However, only six per cent of these families are currently making their meals using only real foods and only three quarters of the food they purchase is real food.

“It’s clear that Canadians care about eating food made with simple ingredients, but they could use some help incorporating real food into their daily lives,” said Stephanie Cox, senior brand manager for Hellmann’s.
