Andrea Howick of Whereparentstalk.com makes some fun lunch options for back-to-school. The first in the Healthy Eating Tips Series sponsored by the Danone Institute of Canada.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup hummus
- 1 whole wheat mini pita
- shredded veggies - carrots, celery
- 1 whole wheat tortilla wrap
- 1 tsp mayonnaise
- 3-5 slices turkey
- 1/2 grean apple washed and sliced thinly
DIRECTIONS
For pita stuffed with hummus: Cut a slit on half of the pita to make an opening. Scoop hummus into pita, and fill with favourite veggies. For Wrap: spread tortilla with mayo or butter. Place turkey on tortilla. Place apple slices on top and roll up.
