“This sense that the kids can’t speak for themselves, or think for themselves or choose their classes or choose their activities. It’s like the kids are becoming this little robot to their parents. And oftentimes, it’s just rooted in kind of a pride and a sense of this term around competitive parenting. So it says parents are starting to feel this sense of competition with each other over how their kids are doing in school or where they go to college and it has gotten out of control. And some of its regional. It’s not just private school parents, it’s public school parents, too.”
