“I saw that there were two groups of teens, one group that had a lot of emotional intelligence, social intelligence, they understood they just were the people that kind of got it, or maybe their parents were very intentional in teaching it one or the other. And I watched as they went on a positive trajectory. People liked them, they were included, adults leaned on them, they use them as positive examples. And I watched as their life became very successful through the years. And then I watched the other group that struggled with that a lot more.”
