“I work within the parameters I can, and take the good. I can’t control when the schedule of the events are that I’m covering. Everything I can control, I can do my best to make sure I’m right there. I’m present.
I’m in the moment with the kids. And they’ve seen the efforts there.
I’ve said to my kids, I’ll get to every single thing I can get to. And often I think they understood, it wasn’t going to be easy. And I missed some things along the way. But I tried my best to make sure I could fit in as much as possible and make it a priority.
I think the words that come to mind are, it’s challenging, but rewarding. I think it’s probably a very unique time to be a parent coming out of the pandemic. And you think about the last few years for all of our kids and all the things they’ve missed all the adjustments they had to make.”
