
Un-lunch box ideas - Healthy Eating Tips
Healthy Eating Tip from the Danone Institute of Canada and whereparentstalk.com: Andrea Howick shares some lunch box ideas for back-to-school lunch boxes. Hummus and veggies, whole wheat pita bread sandwich, whole wheat tortilla wrap with roast turkey and green apple.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Hummus
- 1 Whole Wheat Mini Pita
- 1 tbsp Carrots shredded carrots
- 1 tbsp Celery shredded celery
- 1 Whole Wheat Tortilla Wrap
- 1 tsp Mayonnaise
- 3-5 slices Turkey
- 1/2 Green Apple washed and sliced thinly
Instructions
- For pita stuffed with hummus: Cut a slit on half of the pita to make an opening. Scoop hummus into pita, and fill with favourite veggies.
- For Wrap: spread tortilla with mayo or butter. Place turkey on tortilla. Place apple slices on top and roll up.
