Healthy Eating Tip from the Danone Institute of Canada and whereparentstalk.com: Andrea Howick shares some lunch box ideas for back-to-school lunch boxes. Hummus and veggies, whole wheat pita bread sandwich, whole wheat tortilla wrap with roast turkey and green apple.

  • 1/4 cup Hummus
  • 1 Whole Wheat Mini Pita
  • 1 tbsp Carrots shredded carrots
  • 1 tbsp Celery shredded celery
  • 1 Whole Wheat Tortilla Wrap
  • 1 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 3-5 slices Turkey
  • 1/2 Green Apple washed and sliced thinly


  • For pita stuffed with hummus: Cut a slit on half of the pita to make an opening. Scoop hummus into pita, and fill with favourite veggies.
  • For Wrap: spread tortilla with mayo or butter. Place turkey on tortilla. Place apple slices on top and roll up.
